BILDER: Verklebung von Composite-Paneelen

Composite panels are widely used in the railway industry both for structural applications and for interior fittings. This technology provides significant weight savings, thereby increasing a vehicle’s passenger capacity.

Composite panels are found in partitions, floors, access doors, bar tops, individual seat trays and luggage racks.

Each panel consists of aluminium, stainless steel or composite sheets bonded to a honeycomb structure

Axson Technologies’ Adekit H 9951 structural epoxy adhesive provides the high mechanical strength and resistance to ageing required by such applications.

Although their structural properties are less important, the shelves and bar tops fitted in TGV trains still use the honeycomb system. The surfaces are made from phenolic laminates, flat glued with Adekit H 9951.

The ABS edging strips of the shelves are glued using an adhesive paste: Axson Technologies Adekit A 140.
